We at Holistic Hyperbarics acknowledge that we are guests of the Lisjan (Ohlone) People who belonged to the land on which we are working and living today.
We acknowledge the past, and ongoing, plundering of these lands by theft, displacement, dispossession and violence. We also acknowledge the severe trauma and inequity created through the deliberate actions of our community and governmental bodies that continues to affect our indigenous neighbors.
As part of the Emeryville community, we demand that steps be taken to actively include our Indigenous communities in discussions and the decision-making process regarding how these lands will be used. We call for restoration of land to the people that previously existed in a harmonious relationship with these lands.
