Anti-Aging

It’s a myth that we’re looking for the fountain of youth. What we are looking for as we get older is the ability to rebound from injury and illness, and to thrive into old age. Aging doesn’t have to be something that instills worry; instead, it should be about embracing this next chapter of life. A chapter in which we live life to the fullest, just as we did when we were younger. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can not only help you age with grace from the inside out, but recent research shows it can also reverse aging on the cellular level.

Why does aging happen to the body?

Our bodies are made up of cells; these cells constantly replicate in order to replace damaged old or damaged ones (1). When this replication occurs, structures called “telomeres” that serve as protective caps on our chromosomes, become shorter. Shortened telomeres have been linked with increased incidence of disease, worsened health, and shorter life expectancy (2).

How does HBOT promote anti-aging?

● Lengthens telomeres up to 20%. This means HBOT actually reversed aging (7)

● Reduces excessive skin damage from ultraviolet radiation (4)

● Promotes collagen production and maintains skin elasticity (4)

● Improves wound healing and reduces scar formation (4)

● Oxygen is an important component in skin rejuvenation, treatment of photoaging skin, & improvement in skin complexions (5)

● Can offer protection from future ultraviolet exposure (6)

HBOT is part of the emerging “beauty tech” industry, which develops anti-aging technology that is driven by science, research, and peer-reviewed studies. The results from years of studies are clear: HBOT is an important component in fighting aging. It not only treats current signs of aging and prevents future aging, but can even reverse aging. As more researchers work to replicate these results and experiment with more patients, we will learn even more, and continue to fight aging-related ailments and pain.

A breakthrough study from Tel Aviv University confirmed that a 90 day course of HBOT significantly affected the aging process at the cellular level. The lead researcher noted, "Until now, interventions such as lifestyle modifications and intense exercise were shown to have some inhibiting effect on telomere shortening, but in our study, only three months of HBOT were able to elongate telomeres at rates far beyond any currently available interventions or lifestyle modifications.” (8)

At Holistic Hyperbarics, we are implementing the protocol with patients now, and have a waiting list for anyone who is interested in starting the process. Give us a call for more details about our HBOT protocol for anti-aging, and to book your first treatment. Our state-of-the art spa features knowledgeable staff, a relaxing environment, and comfortable hyperbaric chambers. We’d love to answer your questions, and look forward to working with you.
